Copyright policy

We respect the work of the people who make the shows our users learn from, and we expect our users to do the same.

How trill handles content

trill doesn’t host, stream or publish shows. Recordings are private to the person who made them, are meant only for their own study, and full recordings are deleted after 30 days except for short clips of studied sentences. Our Terms forbid sharing or distributing recordings and using trill to copy shows.

Reporting infringement

If you believe trill, or something we publish on trill.ing, infringes your copyright, email support@trill.ing with “Copyright” in the subject and include:

  • your name and contact details, and your physical or electronic signature;
  • the copyrighted work you believe is infringed;
  • where on trill the material is, or how trill is being used to infringe, in enough detail for us to find it;
  • a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
  • a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or are authorized to act for the owner.

What we do

We review every complete notice, remove or disable the material where appropriate, and tell the affected user. A user who believes material was removed by mistake can send us a counter-notice with the same contact details, the material removed, and a statement under penalty of perjury that it was removed by mistake. We close the accounts of repeat infringers.
